Fieldway was appointed to design and install fire alarm systems at three Great Places sheltered housing schemes, with a contract value of more than £150,000.
Fieldway upgraded the systems to Protec 6000 series equipment, using three engineers to complete each site sequentially. The programme was managed by a dedicated Project Manager, with directly employed local engineers supporting delivery against a restricted deadline. Fieldway also worked closely with carers and scheme managers to prepare for work within individual dwellings and coordinated with other contractors working simultaneously on site.

During mobilisation, Fieldway established arrangements for working within individual dwellings working closely with carers and managers. We were able to fully support the vulnerable residents of the scheme during the works as a result.
Resident Care and Communication
Fieldway worked closely with carers and scheme managers to support vulnerable residents.
Fieldway identified asbestos at one site during tender and arranged its safe removal before mobilisation. The team also established early communication with other contractors to fully coordinate activities and protect the programme.
